For students interested in astronomy. We will be presenting a daily series of topics featuring our planetarium. Each week will feature different discussions on a variety of astronomy concepts. Each day discover something new about the solar system and the universe that surrounds you!
Astronomy 1: “Surprises in our Solar System”
The planetarium will be our home for the week. Is there life on the moons of Jupiter or Saturn? What is an ice volcano? Where is planet X? Fly to various planets. Land on the moon and most importantly learn how and why it is responsible for a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE this April right in your own back yard ! Participants need to be entering grade 4 or older
Astronomy 2: “The Unusual Universe”
Learn about our galaxy, the life cycle of stars and planets. Fly through a nebula or out beyond the edges of our solar system or even our galaxy. Learn about the night sky, observing with your own eyes and through the many telescopes that dig deeper into cosmos for the latest, coolest new things that are being discovered.
Snacks are provided, but feel free to bring a lunch if you'd like.
