This program includes space mission oriented activities designed to promote science, engineering, aviation and technology. Participants train to become mission specialists and learn skills needed for space exploration. From navigation, to weather, life science or geology different topics will be featured each day. The crew will explore the science tasks required by NASA astronauts to solve problems as a team throughout the mission. Camp ends with a simulated flight to Mars and it’s moon Phobos. We guarantee all our crew members safe return from Mars. |

Participants will create their own robots with LEGO and EV3 coding. EV3 is a LEGO programming language that is used in class and for fall lego team competition The new competition field is revealed in late summer and robotics participants can begin teamwork for after school programs for the remainder of the year. This also puts them on a path to join the Lockport high school robotics team, the Warlocks. Robotics is a great way to reinforce fundamental mathematics, innovative design and the scientific process in real world situations while having fun. |
LEGO Robotics vs FLL Robotics?
In LEGO Robotics, you will build a robot with LEGO parts and learn the basics of programming the robot. No prior programming experience necessary!
In FLL Robotics, you will use what you've learned in LEGO Robotics and expand on your knowledge to apply it to FLL (First LEGO League). This camp is the beginning of the 2024 FLL season (our popular after-school program) and culminates in a competition between schools in December.
